In addition to portraits, I take requests to paint almost any subject. I’m very
easy to work with; just let me know what kind of picture you have in mind.

I use the finest grade artist’s oils and acrylics on archival, museum-quality, cradled Ampersand Gessobord™. (Cradling is wood support on the back of the gessoed panel, flush with the edges.) The final painting is varnished for UV protection and easy cleaning, and the sides of the cradled panels are painted dark umber, so your
painting can be displayed beautifully with or without a frame.

Prices may vary for people or pet portraits with more than
one subject.

COMMISSIONING A PAINTING

E-mail me with your request, and send
me a photo of your requested subject
if you like.

I will send you two or three sketches showing ideas for composition and placement of subject for your approval,
and estimated time of completion.
Most commissions can be completed in
one to three weeks.

No down payment is required, and you are under no obligation to purchase
the finished painting! My goal is to make each of my pieces interesting and beautiful, with intrinsic artistic value to any viewer regardless of subject, so if you decide not to purchase your requested painting, I will make the painting available for purchase to the general public at the commission price.

Please keep in mind that you are purchasing
an original, one-of-a-kind piece of art.

The artist retains the copyright and has the
sole right to make copies and prints,
even after the original painting is sold.
